FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GALVESTON, Texas (April 29, 2015) – Crane ChemPharma & Energy, a leading provider of highly-engineered solutions for fluid handling applications worldwide, are pleased to announce their participation in the upcoming RefComm Conference from May 4-6. Trusted brands including Pacific® Wedgeplug valves and Krombach® metal seated ball valves will be among the products on display at Crane’s booth #66.

“During this year’s RefComm event, we are eager to help our customers reduce costs, improve profitability, and enhance their overall operations with our highly-innovative valve solutions,” said Roger Turley, Business Line Manager for Crane ChemPharma & Energy. “Our comprehensive product portfolio enables us to address the challenges inherent in volatile coking and catcracking applications, and help our customers worldwide achieve greater energy efficiency.”

Pacific® Wedgeplug Valves

Characterized by simplicity of design, low energy usage and the innovative Wedgetorque® operator, Pacific Wedgeplug valves from Crane are specifically engineered to address the challenges in severe service applications. Now available in ½” to 36” sizes, the range has recently been expanded to increase the breadth of solutions for customers in the refining, petrochemical and power generation industries.

When not actuating, the Pacific® Wedgeplug valve consumes no steam, resulting in industry-leading low steam usage and DCU operational savings of more than $150,000 per year. Inline decoking and service enables the valve body to remain in the piping system during maintenance, ensuring a shorter TAR schedule and lower trade costs. Wedgeplug users also benefit from superior safety, as a single valve offers double block-and-bleed capability, reducing upstream and downstream concerns and enabling users to purge and gauge the valve body for safety permissives.

Krombach® Metal Seated Ball Valves

Engineered for exceptional performance in the harshest environments, Krombach® metal seated ball valves are ideal for the refining, power generation, and oil and gas industries. Machined to such a precise tolerance that ball and seat lapping does not have to be performed individually for each valve, the Krombach® valve’s innovative design enables both the ball and seat to be freely interchangeable. The trunnion-mounted ball offers a polygon stem-to-ball connection to reduce stress and ensure optimal torque transmission, while the self-cleaning system removes excess particles, minimizes leakage, and extends product life.
